HISTORY
Prior to 1989, there was not a non-church sponsored Christian private school in Cleburne, Texas, a community of 22,000 with more than 58 churches serving approximately 60% of those who regularly attended church. In 1989, three men hosted a city-wide meeting to explore the possibilities for such an educational facility. That meeting generated the impetus to open the doors for such a school in the fall of 1989. The funds needed were underwritten by the three founding families of Cleburne Christian Academy (CCA), originally named Cleburne Community Christian School (CCCS).
OUR FUTURE...
Consequently, an ambitious program of expansion has been undertaken in order to meet the needs of the growing numbers of families who seek the offerings of CCA. CCA acquired a 21-acre tract of land on Country Club Road and Glenhaven Dr in Cleburne as the site of our new campus. These facilities are temporary, but we are blessed to hold school on our own property. The slab for our permanent building has been poured and we are working with many members of this community to finish it.

LOCATIONS
Thirty-seven students enrolled in preschool through fourth grades at CCCS that first year. Faculty and students initially met at the First Christian Church on Nolan River Road, but increasing enrollments made it necessary to seek other facilities. By securing a lease on the Family Life Center at Cleburne Bible Church, the school has had adequate room to expand and increase student population.
MOVING FORWARD
Cleburne Community Christian School is now known as Cleburne Christian Academy. The school board unanimously voted in June 2009 to change to a shorter, more appropriate name. We pray that our new name will help with the school's forward movement. We have some wonderful things in the works. Please keep our school in your prayers.
