DEU 11:19

And ye shall teach them your children, speaking of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.

ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT

A Christ-centered approach to education at Cleburne Community Christian School emphasizes achievement, spiritual and moral growth, and personal and social development. As a means of achieving those standards, CCCS initially selected the ABeka curriculum, and the school continues to use ABeka instructional materials because of its effectiveness and compatibility with the word of God. Combined with CCCS's skilled and committed teachers, this program has yielded outstanding results.

CCCS is a member of the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). This association provides our students with opportunities to participate in ACSI academic events, i.e. the Spelling Bee, Speech Meet, Science Fair, and Math Olympics, all which are held at schools in the Dallas/ Fort Worth area. We are delighted to report that our students consistently receive medals, trophies, ribbons, and other forms of recognition as rewards for diligent study habits and their outstanding performances.

Because we do not offer classes above the eighth grade level, many of our former students enter public High Schools. Typically, these students are placed in accelerated learning/ honors programs. One former CCCS student took the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) through Duke University's Talent Identification Program. Even though this exam is usually administered to High School juniors and seniors, our former student received state-wide recognition for his score of just under 1200, a score higher than the national average for graduating seniors.

CCCS is in need of volunteers. Volunteers can serve in many different ways at CCCS. There is a constant need for participation at all levels. Please contact the school office if you feel that you can serve in any capacity.
